Teacher learning has become the leading concept in the field of teacher education. It is significant to study on the connotation, elements and status of teachers’learning and development for enhancing teachers" professional quality. Based on the relevant researches of domestic and foreign, this study builds a model of teacher’s learning and development.The data were collected through a self-compiled questionnaire returned by samples of 846 kindergarten teachers from nine provinces around the Chinese eastern, central and western regions. According to every teacher’s the mean scores of seven dimensions including the learning and development motivation, information literacy, culture cultivation, reflection, career planning, teamwork, belief and mission, the samples are divided into four types by the K-Means clustering analysis method. Meanwhile, the four types teachers are entitled entry-level teachers,experienced teachers, excellent teachers and expert teachers based on characteristics of each type. The research mainly discusses the status and characteristics of the learning and development of the four types teachers, and explore the influences of the years of service, position, kindergarten type and the first degree on the seven dimensions. The conclusions of the study are as follows:1. The elements of kindergarten teachers’learning and development includes seven dimensions:learning and development motivation, information literacy, culture cultivation, reflection, career planning, teamwork, belief and mission.2. As a whole, the score is high relatively in the learning and development motivation,belief and mission,while is low in information literacy and culture cultivation.3. The characteristics of the four levels of the learning and development in seven dimensions are shown as below. Either the scores on seven dimensions are all high, or those are relatively low. The difference is that all entry teachers, experienced teachers and excellent teachers have the highest scores in the dimension of learning and development motivation, nevertheless, the highest score of expert teachers is in the dimension of belief and mission.4. The influences of years of service, position, kindergarten type and the first degree on the teachers’ seven dimensions are as follows. The teachers’ years of service has significant impact on the teamwork of experienced teachers, motivation and teamwork of excellent teachers, and the information literacy of expert teachers. The scores on the reflection and career planning of the experienced are influenced evidently by the teacher position. The teamwork,belief and mission of the excellent and expert teachers have the same phenomenon. The influences of the kindergarten type on entry-level teaches’ career planning, excellent teachers’ reflection,career planning, teamwork, belief and mission of education are remarkable. The first degree of the teachers effects notably the information literacy of the entry-level and expert teacher, similarly, the excellent teachers’ career planning is connected with it.Based on the above research results, this study put forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions from three aspects including the cultural cultivation, information literacy and hierarchical training.
