With the rise of the 1970s, the feminist movement, women have joined the social organizations, is no longer just dress up as traditional play roles in the family, they embarked on the every stage of society, the status of women more and more social recognition. With the rising status of women, the glass ceiling phenomenon is broken, women have joined the board of directors, the board of directors has become a indispensable force, more women than men, called born philanthropist, they are born more compassionate, will focus on social needs or help in their affairs, social role in the play was given a "charity" expectations. Donation is an important part of the social responsibility of the enterprise, the continuous development of the era, except when enterprises in the pursuit of profit maximization, but also more and more attention to fulfill the social responsibility, corporate philanthropy attracted the attention of scholars home and abroad, in such a society in this environment, women care ethics, social role theory, further research into the relationship between female directors and corporate donations.In this paper, we mainly study the relationship between female directors and corporate donations and specific segments for author women directors and female directors in the board of directors in the proportion of two aspects, the subdivision donation as there is no donation, donation of size. Using a combination of theoretical and empirical research methods, first reviewed the domestic and foreign research of female directors of literature and research enterprise donated literature and in the literature at home and abroad are based on the analysis and summary, the empirical study was carried out to study the effect of female directors on corporate donation.This paper selects the 2012-2014 three years of Shanghai and Shenzhen A-share listed companies as research samples, through establishing regression model of relationship between female directors and corporate donations, and the effects of duality, the enterprise control can effect of regulation of female directors on corporate donation. Research results show that:(1) the board of directors of the enterprise in female directors can promote enterprises to participate in charitable donations, and the participation of women directors can promote the size of corporate donations, female directors of corporate donation amount. (2) with the increase of the proportion of women directors, companies are more willing to to participate in charitable donations, and also found that the ratio of female directors will promote corporate donation scale size. (3) two hats together a can regulate female directors of the corporate donation in the influence of, but can not adjust the female directors of the corporate donation laugh of scale effects. (4) enterprise ultimate controller can regulate female directors influence on corporate donation, it can not be adjusted female directors of the corporate donation laugh of scale effect.Finally, this paper makes an empirical conclusion, and puts forward some suggestions which are beneficial to the development of enterprises.
