Study Of 2013 China Super League:Guangzhou Evergrand Frontcourt Offensive Feature

In November 2013, after winning the CSL league Guangzhou Evergrand won the AFC Champions League. Guangzhou Evergrand credit it’s success with it’s sharp attack, while we can judge a team’s offensive ability by it’s behavior on offensive zone. The characteristic of tactics that Guangzhou Evergtand used to win league champion and AFC champion is worth studying. This study try to analysis Guangzhou Evergrand goals, tactical behavior in the middle offensive zone, as well as side zone by video observation and document research, logical analysis, mathematical statistics though 30 CSL games of 2013 season.Obtained by analysis of the game:1 2013 season Guangzhou Evergrand scored 78 goals, average 2.6 goals per match, foreign player Elkeson score 24 goals. Guangzhou Evergrand score more goals than other CSL teams, Foreign players score the most goals.2 Organized Attack (OA) is the main way to achieve goals. Crossing from the wing side and defense-splitting pass as well as group work in the middle area is the most effective way to achieve goals. There are lots of attacking players can give accurate pass, group work happens between foreign players by fast one touch pass.3 Corner Kick Goal is the effective way for Guangzhou Evergrand to unbalance the game and consolidate advantage4 For Counter-attacks (CA), Conca is the organizer and Muric is an important spot of attack.5 Short pass is the main way that Guangzhou Evergrand perform it’s tactical performance in the middle offensive area, there are more time when Guangzhou Evergrand enter offensive area by wing side than the middle.6 In the middle of offensive area, short pass is the main way to pass, Guangzhou Evergrand change the game rhythm, and direction.7 Left side of offensive line is the main road to break by dribble. For right side there are more Crossing than left, crosses near the baseline has higher rate of success than 45 degrees cross.8 Foreign player’s performance determines the attacking effect of Guangzhou Evergrand, the domestic player’s performance has a huge gap compared with foreign players on movement without ball and attacking organization.
