Teacher feedback is always a hot topic in the writing teaching research of foreign language. But there is little research on the influence of teacher feedback on junior high school students’ English writing ability. Considering students’ different levels of English Proficiency and different types of teacher feedback, this research focuses on finding the influence of different types of teacher feedback on the junior high school students’ English writing ability with the theoretical guidance of Chomsky and Feuerstein’s Mediation Theory. In a word, this paper aims to find an effective teacher feedback mode for students with different levels of English Proficiency.This research aims to solve the following research questions. Firstly, what is the current situation of teacher feedback in junior high school? Secondly, what are junior high school students’ attitudes to teacher feedback? Thirdly, what is the influence of teacher feedback on junior high school students’ English writing ability? Fourthly, what is the effective teacher feedback on junior high school students with different levels of English proficiency?To solve the research problems, this research investigates the current situation of teacher feedback in junior high school and junior high school students’ attitudes to the teacher feedback through questionnaire survey. Then it proves that the teacher feedback influences junior high school students’ English writing ability, and different types of teacher feedback will have different influence on junior high school students with different levels of English proficiency through experimental research. And this research also evaluates how the teacher feedback influences students with different levels of English proficiency through testing.There are some discoveries through doing this research. Firstly, all the junior high school students get the teacher feedback in their routine study. But they do not care much about the teacher feedback they’ve got. Secondly, the junior high school students think highly of the teacher feedback for they believe that teacher feedback is helpful to improve their English writing ability. Thirdly, the teacher feedback has a positive influence on junior high school students’ English writing ability. And finally, different types of teacher feedback have different influence on junior high school student with different levels of English proficiency. In a word, when English teachers give teacher feedback to students, they must consider junior high school students’ different situations and give them the most helpful teacher feedback.
