Person With Disabilities Everyday Life Care And Group Work Intervention Study

Persons with disabilities are a vulnerable group, which with the most difficult and the most prominent problem of China. At the same time, they are a large group that many demands have not been well satisfied. They have various requirements, such as, Physical rehabilitation demand, the employment demand, Social demand, barrier-free environment demand and so on. But everyday life care demand is the basic demand. When they have this demand, they could chase the high needs. While, they have a lot of problems of everyday life care demand. When they cannot be satisfied, their living quality will descend. Their family and themselves will have many problems. Persons with disabilities are the main helping object of social work. But some researches take their eyes on perspective of problems of them. There are some policy support, lacking of professional way. The social work is a professional method that has professional values and skills. It has special advantages about helping disabled people.The research was based on Liberation education theory-Pedagogy of the Oppressed of Paulo Freire. The study investigated the reasons that the disabled cannot be satisfied of their everyday life care. By using the long interview method, the researcher investigated the base situation and demands of disabled people’s life care in the community W of Hebei province. And then summarized the main problems and reasons. The research found that family folks are persons who mainly take care of disabled people in the city. Lacking of government support, community help and rights consciousness of persons with disabilities, there are many problems about disabled people’s everyday life care. It can’t meet their basic needs. According to the reason of themselves, the researcher use the group work to help the disabled,basing on Liberation education theory. And help them to improve the consciousness of rights. Finally found, using the group work to help them is feasible and meaningful. The last part is the reflection about using the group work in order to produce the positive influence of related work.
