Social Work Intervention In Home Care Services For Persons With Disabilities From The Perspective Of Ecosystem Theory

At present,as a special group,people with disabilities have attracted more and more attention.People with disabilities face many problems in their daily life because of their physical conditions.Among them,home care has always been the main problem faced by people with disabilities,and the government can effectively alleviate the problems in the process of home care by providing them with home care services.However,in the process of service,there are problems such as the lack of experience of social workers and the lack of project publicity,which lead to the low quality of home care services for persons with disabilities and the insufficient social influence.Based on the home-based care services provided by C institution in Chongqing,this study took 60 persons with intellectual disabilities,mental disabilities and primary and secondary physical disabilities in J community as the service objects,hoping to explore effective ways for social work to intervene in home-based care for persons with disabilities by studying the practical process.The author evaluated the needs of disabled persons and their families through field research,literature research and questionnaire research,combined with the interview data of community workers and the specific situation of home care services provided by social work agencies.The specific service needs of home care for people with disabilities in J community were sorted out as career development,psychological counseling,rehabilitation training,home care and social interaction.From the perspective of ecosystem theory,this paper makes service intervention plan according to the needs of service objects: constructing service system at three levels.At the micro level,the case work method was used to build a package management service system,including home visits by social workers and the establishment of personal files for persons with disabilities.Link employment resources to promote assisted employment of persons with disabilities;Provide psychological counseling to relieve the anxiety of the disabled;Provide home services to improve the living quality of people with disabilities.At the middle level,group work is used to construct a social support network for the peer group of disabled people through supportive and therapeutic group activities.At the macro level,community work methods have been adopted to cultivate local volunteer teams in the community,build a platform for mutual assistance for the disabled in the community,and link social resources to participate in the care services for the disabled,so as to call on the public to pay attention to the disabled group and create a good social atmosphere for caring for the disabled.Next,the author analyzes the achievement of the objective by summarizing the practical process,such as: the assisted employment of the disabled has achieved certain results;The psychological pressure of the disabled has been relieved;The needs of people with disabilities for home services are met;The personal aspirations of people with disabilities are realized;Initially set up a team of disabled volunteers.At the same time,the service impact under ecosystem theory is analyzed.At the micro level,the clients and their families have a better self-acceptance of themselves;At the intermediate level,the social support network of disabled people’s peer group is formed.At the macro level,it promotes the change of social culture and social system.At the end of the study,the author reflects on the whole service process and points out the problems in the process of social work intervention in home care services for disabled people,such as the service form at the intermediate level is too single;Unable to effectively raise the economic income level of disabled families;The development of community volunteer service is slow;Low participation of social forces.Finally,the paper puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions to solve the above problems.For example,carry out theoretical study and vocational skills training for social workers;Increasing financial input to ensure the basic livelihood of the disabled;Excavate and cultivate local volunteer resources;Efforts should be made to publicize home care services for the disabled.
