| At present, the developing level of special education in a region or in some country is an important index to measure its degree of social civilization. With the development of social civilization, countries and regions pay more attention to the special education. Special education teachers are not only the first resource but also the core power for the development of special education. The level of their professional identity can show whether they have the intrinsic incentive mechanism or not, whether they can put the self-value and the professional career together effectively, whether they can maintain a sustained and stable sense of identity for the special education teachers’ professional and have the initiative sense and consciousness at work in order to achieve greater self benefits and social benefits. How to effectively use the professional identity of special education teachers to improve work performance, strengthen the construction of teaching staff of special education teachers, motivate and leave for special education teachers are the key to the smooth development of all special schools, and these problems will be studied and discussed in this paper.Based on the literature review and summary, the research questions and hypothesis are put forward, the research scale is selected and established, the reliability and validity of the scale are tested, and the four-dimensional model of the work performance will be verified. The special education teachers’ at special school have taken as the research participants; and 356 special education teachers’ in 5 regions of Guangdong, Sichuan, Inner mongolia, Tianjin, and Fujian are surveyed using a questionnaire, which is a new perspective. Then based on the analysis of the collected data, this paper will describe the status of special education teachers’ professional identity and performance analysis of the impact of demographic variables on the professional identity of special education teachers using one-way ANOVA and T test independent samples. The relationship between special education teachers’ professional identity and job performance and influence will be revealed through using correlation analysis and regression analysis. Through analyzing and discussing the professional identity and dimensions of job performance influence degree, the conclusions are drawn as follows:1. The overall professional identity of special education teachers is in the middle level, and in the professional identity of the latitude, the highest value is the level of identity, while the lowest is the level of development of the identity.2. There is a significant difference for the overall professional identity of Special Education Teachers, because they have different demographic variables. There are significant differences in emotional identity and value identity, identity development latitude respectively because of gender, age, education, profession, preparation, job title, average monthly income etc.3. Expect for the emotional identity, there are correlative relationships between the three dimensions of professional identity, value identification, and development of identity and the four dimension of job performance.4. The results of regression analysis showed that special education teachers’ professional identity can well predict and affect Ihe special education teachers’ job performance.Finally, according to the results of this study and Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory, this paper will put forward the people-oriented view, build a comprehensive and effective support system of special education teacher, and adopt a variety of incentive strategies for special education teachers to provide suggestions of policy, material, and social, psychological and professional support. This paper aims to meet the various needs of special education teachers, effectively enhances the special education teachers’professional identity sense, mobilize the special education teachers’ work enthusiasm and creativity to the maximum, improve job performance and special education teachers team stability, promote the development of special education, and construct a harmonious society. |
