Comprehensive improvement of every student’s literacy is the core of science education, and their understanding of basic contents of nature of science(NOS) is a central element of scientific literacy. For this reason, it’s very important to understand the status quo of now middle school students’ view of nature of science, analysis the reason of difference of middle school students’ view of nature of science and put forward comprehensive countermeasures of improving essence of middle school students’ scientific cognition. In order to achieve this purpose, this article has carried on the related investigation and study. The full text is divided into five parts.The first section:the introduction. Combined with the background of new curriculum reform, on the basis of related literature at home and abroad, this part organizes and evaluates essence of middle school students’ scientific research situation at home and abroad and studies the purpose and meaning.The second section:related theory analysis. This part mainly analysis of the relevant theoretical research of middle school students’ scientific essence, defines the relevant concepts, ascertains the dimensions of the nature of science view, and provides theoretical basis for research.The third section:the process of research of high school students’ view of nature of science. This part mainly compiles "the status quo of high school students’ scientific nature view questionnaire" and related interview outline. Extracting 160 students of grade 11 in the affiliated high school of central China university of science and technology is the first step. Then using the data of questionnaire to understand the present situation of high school students of nature of science view. Finally, this part will use the interview to auxiliary analysis.The fourth section:the results analysis and countermeasure research. On the statistical results of the questionnaire data and interview, this part analysis one by one. At same time, this part will compares whether gender differences, class type differences and family education background differences will have impact on the results of the survey. In addition, according to the results of the analysis, this part will put forward the strategy of improving high school students s’ view of nature of science.The fifth section:conclusion and prospect. This part summarizes the main content of the full text and point out the deficiency of this article and prospect in this direction.Using SPSS 17.0 and EXCEL to analysis statistic and connecting with the interview survey result this article get the following conclusions.(1)Now,the average score of the essence of scientific survey of high school students is not high, only 3.47 points(5") which shows under the system of science education, school education is not to be put in place and high school students’ view of nature of science is still not optimistic in China.(2)Gender difference had no significant influence about high school students’ views of nature of science survey score. This shows that girls and boys in the essence of scientific investigation had no evident difference.(3)Class type difference had significant influence on the score the views of the nature of the high school students scientific investigation. The scores of science major work class in the survey were significantly higher than that of science comparable and liberal arts comparable. However, there is no significant differences between the scores of science comparable and the scores of liberal arts comparable in the survey.(4)family education background differences had significant influence on the score the views of the nature of the high school students scientific investigation. The students from the family both parents had good education background, have more profound understanding of the nature of science than the students from other family education background.In order to improve high school students’ view of nature of science, this paper puts forward the following suggestions:(1)Make the diversity of high school science curriculum evaluation mechanism come true.(2)Make science inquiry as the main way of course(3)The formation of rich content of new science books(4)Improve teachers’ views of nature of science(5)Improve parents’ views of nature of science(6)Strengthen the study of the theory of nature of science(7)Actively cooperate in science inquiry(8)Constantly summarize exploration results and concise scientific spirit...
