Research On One-dimensional Man Of Internet Era

The Internet has a revolutionary influence on human’s understanding and changing of the world. It is changing people’s way of existing, way of life, way of thinking and way of cognition, quietly. The Internet not only brought earthshaking changes to the production and life, but also the human behavior, which has undergone major changes especially in the human interaction way and the expression of emotion. There shows some phenomena and problems which departure from the original intention of developing the Internet, and to a certain degree, these problems can sum up as "one-dimensional-man" in the era of the Internet. As early as in the developed industrial society, Marcuse pointed out that the mass media is a main reason for the emergence and the aggravation of one-dimensional-man. Today, people live in the Internet Civilization and audiovisual media environment has revolutionarily changed, they are facing the adverse effects brought by the Internet, and these adverse effects increasing from the individual level extending to the level of social groups, showing a trend of one-dimensional-society, which has gradually formed as one-dimensional-individuals and one-dimensional-groups. Moreover, these individuals and groups have sub culture, which has a serious impact on the social mainstream culture and ideology especially core values. Developing the Internet is the important strategic policy in our building a moderately prosperous society in all aspects. How to properly use and apply the Internet, to promote new development of socialism, to ensure the development of the Internet always with the essence of socialist society, to promote human’s all-round development, which is a new topic to develop the socialism in the Internet Era.In view of this and based on the background of Internet Era, this paper uses Marcuse analysis ideas and methods of one-dimensional-man in developed industrial society, staggered the analysis method of Marcuse in time and space, historically and contemporarily, to study the one-dimensional-man problem in the era of the Internet. In the beginning chapter, mainly interprets the background and significance of this topic, reviews at home and abroad about the theory of Marcuse research, the description of the project intends to adopt the research ideas and methods, the innovation and the weakness of the subject, and on the analysis and interpretation of some special phrase. The second chapter mainly discusses Marcuse’s one-dimensional-man theory, by the view of society, minds and thoughts, and man, to get the whole picture of the theory critically and to elicit the question of one-dimensional-man. The third chapter mainly discusses one-dimensional-man of the Internet Era, through the analysis of one-dimensional-man in the era of the Internet, to make a profound analysis from the "alienation of technology and humanity", "information control people’s minds", "one dimension personality tendency" and make a profound analysis and put forward the question of one-dimensional-man. The fourth chapter mainly discusses the reflection of one-dimension in the era of the Internet, by the view of "one-dimensional-man", "one dimensional group", "Internet and one dimensional man" to reflect the lack of depletion personality and spiritual world in Internet Era and to analysis the question of one-dimensional-man. The fifth chapter mainly discusses how to get rid of "one-dimensional-man" in Internet Era, to promote the basic principle and strategy of comprehensive development of human in Internet Era and to give out constructive solutions. The summary chapter is the conclusion, mainly to summarize the research of the subject and express expectations. By profoundly analyzing the one-dimensional-man in the Internet Era, and promoting the five-development concepts "innovation, coordination, green development, opening up, and sharing" to enhance the Internet Power, actively.
