Research On The Cultural Space Of Folk Sports In Ningbo-Shaoxing Area

After the theory of Region System raised by Guo Zhiyu, cultural research by region emerges and develops quickly.Formally, the martial arts fist is the only research object, and now Chinese opera, architecture, culture, art are also included. Based on the former researches, the author selects Ningbo-Shaoxing area to analyze the folk sports in the national fitness background. During the research, the author uses the Field Theory to develop the research in three aspects:geographical feature, cultural character and political factor. The purpose of the research is to find the development regulations of Chinese folk sports, its survival predicament and the solution. The author believes the research can benefit the citizens’ health.The Field Theory is mainly about the folk sports in three different cultural space. It includes the original characteristics called "IN", the improvement or transformation through the history river called "OUT", and the currently positive integration with national spirits called "RECONSTRUCTION". And these three different states can exist at the same time. The state can be judged by three factors, its development, the region and the place involved.The methods of literature consultation,individual cases analysis methods and profile analysis were used to the thesis. The author uses the field theory and analysis, to explore the development status folk sports in Ningbo-Shaoxing area, the purpose of the research is to find the development regulations of Chinese folk sports, its survival predicament and the solution. As the conclusions follow:the folk sports in three different cultural space, the reconstruction is the only way for Folk Sports; The folk sports in Ningbo-Shaoxing area plains has the good prospects for development,and it will provide reference for other regions. Its development is affected by internal and external factors. On the view of the external cause, advances in science and technology challenge its vivosphere, and the government ignores its difficulties in growing; concerning to the internal cause, its own traditional style goes out of time and lacks creative and cooperative spirit. All of these hold back the progress of folk sports.In order to help folk sports sustainable development and go into the path of "RECONSTRUCTION", the author thinks that several measures must be taken. Firstly, folk sports must bring into new and creative ideas and explore courageously; secondly, folk sports should learn from other folk-customs and create fresh styles; thirdly, the government should support its innovative development and encourage it to serve for the citizens; fourthly, society should call for the whole nation to protect Chinese civilization while enjoying the new technology.
