Chinese Martial arts has a long history and profound cultural background for thousands of years. Martial arts is not only rich in content, the cultural implication abstruse, but also has many aspects of social function of the fitness, self-defense, repairing, sports, entertainment.It creates the essence of the culture of the Chinese nation. Martial arts,as a kind of excellent national culture, plays an important role in carrying forward and fostering national spirit. It is deeply welcomed by Chinese and foreigners. But its inheritance and carrying forward lead to the "one-sided" phenomenon. That means it is very hot in the social cultural spread and exchange, but in the school education it is very cold. Elementary school students are flowers of the motherland and the backbone of the future social development. They play an irreplaceable role in the future society. Therefore, the school opening a martial arts class and paying special attention to martial arts teaching becomes the key of the school sports. In order to know present situation of martial arts teaching of primary school and promote the further development of martial arts in, this paper uses the literature material law, questionnaire survey method, interviewing method, logical analysis and mathematical statistics to survey the 16 primary school students, physical education teachers and school leaders to investigate and research. It analyzes the existing problems at present and puts forward relevant countermeasures.Results showed: martial arts course situation of primary school is not ideal, school leadership’s emphasis on martial arts degree is not high, only about 31% of the school open the martial arts class. PE teachers’ age structure is not harmonious and the teaching practical experience is not enough. It is lack of professional martial arts teacher. It is lack of a chance of learning and communication. Martial arts teaching field is serious not enough. Martial arts teaching content is single, teaching method is old and martial arts teaching material is short. Students are not enough about the understanding of martial arts.In order to solve the above problems, the better to promote the further development of primary school martial arts education, in which the following relevant countermeasures: the leadership department should strengthen the importance of martial arts education and carry out the central propaganda department and the ministry of education about the national spirit education implementation outline of "moderation in physical education and increasing the content of the Chinese martial arts”. To strengthen the construction of teaching staff, increase communication and learning opportunities. To Increase martial arts teaching field and the construction of the equipment.To guarantee the standardization of the martial arts teaching Writing features of martial arts teaching promote the development of primary school martial arts. Enriching the teaching contents and reforming teaching methods inspire students’ interest in martial arts.
