PurposeThis study was to explore the accuracy of wrist and waist for GT3X+accelerometer measurement. And determine the best place to wear the GT3X+accelerometer in teenagers. Apply the results to practice, to explore teenagers,including sedentary behavior and daily physical activity.MethodsThe first part of the study recruited 30 12 subjects(male 18, female 12), in strong hands, weak hands and waist three parts at the same time after wearing GT3 X +accelerometer, in metabolic chamber within the warehouse according to the test schedule to complete doing homework, watching TV, resting, playing video games,reading, and sleeping, compared with energy metabolism warehouse GT3 X +accelerometer consistency.The second part of the study’s subjects were recruited 41 student(20 boys and 21girls), in a good wrist and waist wear GT3 X + acceleration probe in the laboratory static behavior of children in the natural environment.Date analyesUsing Actilife5.5 to output GT3 X accelerometer data.Metabolic house testing the energy consumption of oxygen consumption and carbon dioxide produced per minute with Weir’s algorithm is converted into energy consumption(Kcal · min- 1). using the independent sample T test analysis to compare male, age, weight, height and body composition. All the data use the Person related test to compare correlation.And paired sample T test to compare the different between three measurements of accelerometer and metabolic house. All the data represented by mean + /- standard deviation as a result, P < 0.05 indicates a significant difference.All analysis using SPSS18.0 software analysis.Results1. Metabolic chamber worn by the department in metabolism of the static behavior of the warehouse has no relevance, wrist wear accelerometer and metabolic chamber have the correlation, and vary with different activities.2. Reading homework and repose to show high levels of correlation, while watching TV, read books and sleep the correlation between these three activities and energy metabolism of storehouse is low.3. Strong wrist and the weak wrist accelerometer value does not exist significant differences.4. No matter where to wear, 12 years old children’s sedentary behavior of the "three class two operating activities" static behavior of the time is too long.Conclusions1. Laboratory environment, wrist wear accelerometer to measure static behavior is better than waist, 12 children in the experiment of the natural environment is givenpriority to with the static behavior of sports wrist wear accelerometer is also better than iliac, given the current static behavior in children’s sedentary behavior is higher,therefore recommended in measuring children’s sedentary behaviors will accelerometers worn on the wrist.2. Children’s lifestyle presents the sedentary behavior of a long time, far more than the WHO and the recommended amount of in our country, and the girls than boys, obese children longer than normal children.
