"Household" is the basic unit of Chinese farmer’s production and life for a long time. It connected with the patriarchal and sovereignty, constitutes the traditional pattern of China. Under the background of civilization and marketization, peasants are more socialized and attache great importance to individual rights. Inevitably, traditional household has to face up with the risks of market and society. Based on the micro and in-depth perspective of farmers, this essay will research the households with internal power relationship through the analysis and interpretation in the process of transition from traditional to modern household, the change of the internal power relations, and especially the change of the patriarchal relation with women’s rights. As well as urban and rural dual structure under the patriarchal drift, which reflect the history and changes of household survival logic and the history of the rheological of sexual right in house.Untill now,there still has a big space living to scholars to study on rural governance from household side. There exist vacancy in theory that how the house right alternate between sexual influence the development of household and governance. That why study on history of household especially on the power relations within household can play an positive role in predicting country household governance. In traditional society patriarchal has internal mechanism of running such as the social network,agricultural economic mode and fertility preferences. While all of those have been changed after Land reform. Because of the reform, household lost their foundation of survival and individual peasant separate from house and land gradually involved in market. With the great change, the organization of patriarchal has changed also and the organization only for women’s has quiet happening.During this period, on the one side,the state power has last and consolidate traditional patriarchal,on the other side, with the help of Land reform the state power changes patriarchal form also, like women having found organization for their own. After marketization reform, social resources, social space and social organization change. All this lead to internal patriarchal household suspension, thus forming a new situation of grassroots governance is new challenges of rural governance.This essay use field research method and case tracing method to get first-hand data. From the perspective of economy, fertility and live three parts tell the patriarchal change from tradition to modern society.Some thing can be fond in this research. From economical perspective, women in charge of economic power in house during their husband working in urban. From fertility perspective, girls have been accept to provide for the old. From the way of living, small family instead of big family in which different generation live together. All of that lead to population flow, the household structure narrowed and governance turning diversification. This poses challenges to the current rural grass-roots governance.
