Early childhood is a very important period for children to acquire knowledge a nd develop ability. To acquire knowledge by "experience, direct perception and pr actice" is a good way. But outside message is also a very important way.When f acing the message, if children trust it and think it reliable, they can put these infor mation into their own knowledge. Oral and printed information are two important ways for children to acquire knowledge from the outside world. Children’s trust bas ed on the two different knowledge sources has close relationship with their cognitive de velopment. This article analyses the 4-6 year’s Chinese children’s trust of the two i nformation using quantitative experimental study. Research mainly divides into three parts:The first experiment selects 125 children aged 4 to 6 as the research objects a nd divided into oral and text two different experimental conditions to measure child ren’s trust of the two different information, The results of study showed that:1. Co mpared with oral information, Chinese children prefer to believe text information,5 years old was a turning point.2. The literacy level of children has a certain influence o n their trust in text information.3. The trust of different information not only affect chidren’s cognitive achievement but also can last for a long time. It shows that afte rchildren trust the information, the information become their own knowledge.The second experiment selects 110 children aged 4 to 6 as the research object s.This study changed the transmission way of verbal and written information to m easure the children’s trust of two different information. The results of study showed that:1.After changing the way of information providing, children’s trust is not imp roved.2. The way of information providing improves the level of cognitive achieve ment in the spoken condition,but has no effect on text information task.The third experiment selects 110 children aged 4 to 6 as the research objects.T his study changes the transmission material of information to test children’s trust of the two information. The results of study showed that:1. In the condition of infor mation competition, Children still prefer to believe text information.2.Preference for text information may reflect the children’s maturation process, children are more wil ling to show trust in the text information after 5 years old,;3. The information tha t children trust can be applied into new circumstances depends the difficulty of task.
