With the increasing investment on instruments and equipment in Colleges and Universities in our country, all colleges and universities also pay more and more attention to the opening and sharing of the precious instruments and equipment. To use the instruments effectively, to manage and add up the usage of instruments, to provide accurate and reliable data for the senior leadership, you must collect a large amount of the real operation data. Therefore, a kind of application server based on the precious instruments sharing and management system, which is called VDC server, is designed to realize the transmission and receiving of the instruments operation image, to dynamic filtering of the image and to complete the research on image pattern recognition. Finally the VDC sever is to provide the reliable data source for the precious instruments sharing and management system.The main achievements of this paper are as follows:firstly Transmission of image information between the information acquisition terminal and application server; by developing a set of application layer protocol based on TCP/IP, the communications and data transmission of the data acquisition module and server in the application layer using socket programming is realized in this paper. Secondly through the image similarity matching technology to complete the dynamic filtration of image; by the research on image matching algorithm which is called perception Hash, combined with the actual requirements of the server for processing speed and processing accuracy, this paper simplifies the perception Hash algorithm and designs the average hash algorithm to achieve the image similarity matching, totally to complete the static void image filtering. Thirdly complete the research on image pattern recognition; According to the actual requirements of the project, by choosing the HOG&SVM algorithm of human body recognition and choosing the appropriate set of positive and negative samples to complete the training of the classifier, this paper accomplishes the detection of the body in image. Then by the corner detection of the target areas in a group of human image, calculating the position feature points of the human, generating trajectory, finally the system roughly evaluate the course of an experiment.Some relevant test in the experimental environment about the image transmission and reception and the image dynamic filtration is did in this paper. The experimental results show that the VDC server can effectively filter the static image, save storage space. At the same time, by the research on image pattern recognition, the server can effectively detect the human in images, and meet the design requirements of the precious instruments sharing and management system for the VDC server.
