Recent years, researchers and specialists have paid more and more attention to learners’ personal factors during learning process. A lot of studies have shown that personal factors have great impact on learners’ achievement in learning foreign language. Experts said that affective factors and learners’ strategies are important parts of personal factors. Among these affective factors, anxiety is one of the most important and universal factors. Language anxiety will affect the learners’ English learning.In our country, there are many studies about English language learning anxiety. However, in many areas, the schools and teachers pay little attention to students’ English learning anxiety. Actually, learning anxiety is one of the biggest difficulties for students’ English learning.In this research, two classes’ students from a senior high school are chosen as the research subjects. The author adopts questionnaire- Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale(FLCAS) which was designed by Horwitz(1986) and interview as the research methods. Through the methods, the writer gets the students’ general English learning anxiety levels. Meanwhile, the students’ latest English final examination scores are collected to help the author explore the relationship between English learning anxiety and learning achievement. Besides the questionnaire, the author also makes an interview with these classes to get more information about their English learning anxiety and explore the sources of English learning anxiety. The results are as follows:(1)Foreign language anxiety exists in students’ English learning process. In this research, these students have a relatively moderate level of anxiety.(2)English learning anxiety is negatively correlated with students’ English learning achievements.(3) Students’ English learning anxiety can be caused by many sources, such as test stress, family’s over-expectation, teachers’ effect and learning atmosphere and so on.
