| Carving, a unique ethnic tradition of national ancient art, created as far back as the Shang or Zhou dynasty, developed in Q in and Han dynasty, is a fabulous and magnificent flower in the garden of Chinese national arts, also is a comprehensive and profound art which combines calligraphy, art, sculpture. But with the rapid development of modern science and technology, rapid spread of foreign culture, teenagers in the modern society know little about Carving. Nowadays, carving is taught in some schools but it is not a common curriculum ope ned in major primary schools in cities all over our country. People do not attach importance to it. C ultural connotation of carving art, and its inner culture strength is not obvious, thus learning carving art education should be a long-term education task, and important discipline strength to carry forward the traditional C hinese arts and culture. Learning carving also needs to be learnt from the inside out in order to achieve the accumulation. Nanchong C ity, where I live now, is an ancient city which is o ld and innovates. As a big education city in Sichuan Province, it has a wealth of educational resources and deep cultural roots. Carving art is carried forward in Yilong County, Nanchong C ity. The "Three Villages Culture" led by carving art develops very prosperously here. Xihelu Primary School in my city, attaches big importance to the traditional culture and art heritage, and it specially opens carving curriculums. As carving arts education started early in my city, with more experience, historical and cultural thickness, it makes extraordinary contribution to the promotion of upgrading the city’s elementary carving art education. With a unique educational philosophy and innovative teaching tools, schools will let students learn to create in carving by stimulating student interest for graphic images, which can stimulate students’ interest in learning for carving, so that they can acquire a deeper understanding of the carving’s development history, and create awareness and inquiry-based learning in carving learning.Combining cultural heritage of traditional carving artists with modern teaching skills could make carving art become compatible, and more easily to be accepted bystudents. What’s more, it also plays a good supporting role in the integration of educational resources for teachers. I believe that the city’s primary carving art teaching will get better and faster development in the future. |
