In term of the general study process, the error in problem solving is inevitable and reasonable to certain extent. From the point of view of teaching,teachers all expect that students can master the knowledge, to complete the problem solving. So it became the main concern of many experts as well as the front-line teachers regarding how to decrease or avoid mistakes in the problem solving process. Taking intermediate-level students in mathematic learning from high school as research object, this thesis carry out Individual case study respectively to representative students A, B from prominent high school and representative students C,D from common high school as well as face-to-face interview which comprehensively analysis the reasons of mistakes in problem-solving. Research found that there is both similarities and differences.According the research, that high school mathematics learning medium problem solving errors in common lies in: lack of confidence, nervous, over stressed, bad habits in problem solving and missed review. To prominent high school students, the mistake in problem solving lies in fragmented knowledge structure, low self-requirement, and passive attitude in learning. To common high school students, it lies in: Poor computing ability, lack of problem-solving methods and skills.Below suggestion is proposed to the commonality of mistake in problem solving: 1) create an easy and pleasant psychology; 2) Cultivate good habits in problem solving. 3) Treat the mistakes easily and use it as teaching case. These two points of views is proposed based on problems of prominent high school students: 1) to sort out the knowledge and form system.2) Cultivate their habit of good organization and induction, improve their initiative in study. To common high school students: Emphasize the learning of concept and the derivation process of formulas, theorems, rules and nature. 2) To train students’ ability of accurate calculation(3) pay attention to the infiltration of mathematical ideas and methods, and to enrich their experience in problems solving.
