Role image is the overall impression and evaluation of the people who have a comprehensive understanding of a certain social role, which is the basic factor to form a personal image. Today’s vocational education occupied half of the higher education in our country, under the new social environment, characteristics of vocational college students also occurred in the major changes, counselors of Higher Vocational Colleges Students’ Ideological and political education as the implementation of the first, but also contact with students in most of the teacher, the role of the image of the healthy growth of students plays a subtle and important role. At the same time, students as a counselor role image of the direct object, from the perspective of the students understanding their expectations on College Counselors’ role image and the actual evaluation, provide a reference to the shape of the counselors’ role image, it should be is a meaningful research topic.This study, based on the theory of image and sociology, takes the students of four vocational colleges in Chongqing as the research object, through the questionnaire to understand their expectations and the actual evaluation of the role of the counselors. First of all, the self compiled "questionnaire on the role of the counselor", including the two dimensions of internal and external image. Among them, the intrinsic image division: role of skills, personal qualities and professional ethics of the three sub elements; external image partition manners and demeanor instrument two sub elements. After testing the reliability and validity of the questionnaire, 600 questionnaires were issued to four vocational college students in Chongqing City, 532 questionnaires were recovered, and the recovery rate was 88.7%. On this basis, understand their expectations of the role of the counselor and the actual evaluation of the actual evaluation, and the two are analyzed, to explore the reasons for the emergence of differences. The conclusions of the study are as follows:First, higher vocational college students in Chongqing, the role of the overall image of the higher education, and with the actual situation is different. Among them, the students have higher expectations than the external image of the role of the counselor, but in the actual evaluation, the inner image of the instructor is lower than the external image.Second, higher vocational students of Chongqing in the role of counselors in the internal image of the expectations and the actual evaluation and expectation of counselors’ professional ethics value is higher than the role skills and personal qualities; in the actual evaluation, on College Counselors’ Role Skills lowest evaluated.Third, Chongqing Vocational College Students in the role of counselors in the external image of the expectations and the actual evaluation, expectations of counselors demeanor instrument omitted words conversation manner; in the investigation of the current situation, the evaluation of counselor demeanor instrument slightly lower than manners.Fourth, there is no significant difference between different genders and different students in Higher Vocational College Students’ expectation and evaluation of the role of counselors.Fifth, there are significant differences in the expectation of the role of the counselors and the status quo of the evaluation of the students in different grades.Sixth, different professional types and different students of Vocational College Students in the role of the role of counselors in the role of the expectations of the role of skills and professional ethics, there is a significant difference.The new research is through empirical research methods from the perspective of students of role image of instructors, student counselor role expectation image and real image compared, found out the relationship between the differences and try to analyze the difference causes. On the basis of, combined with the previous related research results, respectively, from the five aspects: the role of skills, personal qualities, professional ethics, manners and demeanor instrument to enhance the strategy of Chongqing Vocational counselor role image. To a certain extent, Chongqing and the country to provide empirical evidence and reference for the role of College Counselors in higher vocational colleges, to speed up the construction of college counselors and professional development has a certain reference value.
