Research Of The Passing And Catching Application Effects In Knockout Stage Of The 7th Women’s World Cup

In the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada, the United States revenged Japan, who beat the United States in the final of the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup, and won the champion. Meanwhile, China reached the quarter finals again and let us see the hope of revival of Chinese Women’s Football. It is worth,of,investigating that,how Japanese,Women’s Football,caught,up,with,and surpa ssed China’s Women’s Football, and how the United States and other teams in Europe rapidly found the way to beat Japan in a properly period. The researches on the pass under physical confrontation and the threatening pass in Chinese Women’s football are as not relatively much as other domain. In addition, this article aim to provide experience and reference to our women’s football team, which also could enhance and nourish the training and game.This article studies all the 16 knockout matches in 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup. It indicates by the statistic data that all teams use more passes in short distance. Stronger teams use more short distance passing than long distance passing, while stronger teams have higher success rate of long distance passing. Stronger teams have higher ability to pass ball under body confrontation. European teams and the United States team have higher ability of catching ball under body confrontation, while the Japanese team have higher ability of catching ball without body confrontation. After analyzing the relevant articles, interviewing experts, watching recorded games, analyzing the statistic data, I draw some conclusions as follow:(1) In the 16 knockout matches of 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup, the number of short distance passing is 7651; the number of middle distance passing is 4399; and the number of long distance passing is 2479. The number of pass in midfield is 8782, which is larger than that of the other two fields. All teams pay the most attention to the control of the midfield area.(2) The United States team makes 3.33 threatening passes every match in average, which is larger than any other teams. This number of Chinese women’s football is only 0.75.It indicates that our team has a shortage in this aspect.(3) The United States team has the highest success rate of catching ball under body confrontation in the knockout matches with the number of 84.2%. The success rate of catching top four teams in average is 82.9%. That number of Chinese team is 76.4%. It indicates that Chinese team has a shortage in passing and catching under body confrontation.(4) The number of getting rid of defense after catching and breakthrough ahead in the front area of the top four teams is 42.5 in average, and the number of the lateral dribbling is35.8. The numbers of Chinese team are only 16.5 and 26. This shows that the ability of breakthrough after catching of Chinese team is lower than the stronger teams in the world cup.
