As an athlete of pole vault training by Xi’an Physical Education University and Shaanxi Province, Wang Lubiao and Han Yu has many technical problems in pole vault. And these problems made significant influences in training process and score. In the whole technology link, the skill of approach and take-off movement plays important role on the quality of the performance. This article presents the trace analysis on Wang Lubiao and Han Yu’s approach skill and take-off movement. By finding problems in this stage and correcting the wrong movement, and providing the data, it would help to speed up the technical growth and increase their performance for further training, and make further guidence to the sports practice.By means of literature material, observation, depth interview, biomechanical measurement and mathematical statistics, etc., this article carries out a kinematical analysis on the relevant indicators of the last two steps of Wang Lubiao, Han Yu’s run-up and take-off movement selection. Here comes the conclusions: 1. The last two steps of Wang and Han’s running has improved and the step length of the last stride of approach showed a decreasing trend, and the pace seemed more coherently than before. Han’s last long step changed apparently, the pace is more positive and showed strong attack consciousness. 2. Wang had improvement on the speed of the final two-step movement. The horizontal velocity change is in appropriate range. But the linking of these two steps still needs to improve. Han’s final two-step speed is gradually accelerated, which relied on the rhythm practice. With the increase of the horizontal velocity, their run-up moves became more proactively, and the body displacement distance also increased. The body displacement speed has also increased. 3. Wang and Han’s height of center gravity have been rised, and the center of gravity became stabilized. Although they still have space for improvement. Han’s off ground difference of center of gravity showed a gradually decreasing trend, and his run-up rhythm and it’s stability has constantly improved.4. The angle changing of dropping pole has increased a lot from the second countdown steps to jump landing. Wang has increased the driven angle gradually, and made great improvement of the final jump. By reducing the length of the final step and enlarging the rod obliquity obviously, Han makes full use of the pole tensile force to complete the subsequent jumping action.5. The shoulder angle of Wang while taking off became more reasonable than before. His pole vaulting arm became more positively upward and forward. And the consciousness to push the trunk had been improved. Han’s upper arm became more stable and supportive. With the elbow angle of the lower arm gradually open, it creates a better condition for the trailer body.6. The leg angle of Wang and Han’s final two-step run-up and take-off has increased gradually. Their run-up stretching became more thoroughly than before, and the center of gravity is more coherently.7. Wang’s running approach technique became stable, and combining capacity of his run-up speed and vertical speed had improved. Han’s jumping direction are more positive upward and forward, and maintain a better speed level. The horizontal force of pole vaulting has been strengthened, and the jumping angle has been optimized.
