Women pole vault in the world first came into being in 1929, but was listed in various formal game is in 1990s or so. IAAF World Junior Championships is sponsored by International Amateur Track and Field Athletic Federation. First IAAF World Junior Championships was hold in Athens of Greece in 1986, but till 1998 Women pole vault was listed in formal competitional events in the seventh IAAF World Junior Championships at Anne of France. IAAF World Junior Championships is called the cradle of world champion. Technical expression and gain and loss of young contestants directly influence their success or fail on the future track and field competition, so the study of their technical performance seemed to be particularly important. This research study the technical character of world elite young women pole vaulters from professional technique angle of pole vault, which in order to offering reference and suggestion for athletes preparing for 2008.This paper analysis and compare the technical performance of the best results of athletes who got 1-6 position in the eleventh IAAF World Women Championships in 2006 at Beijing from kinematics angel, adopting the methods of materials and interviewing professional, video analysis, statistics and comparison. The results showed:At the take-off stage: (1) The loss rate of take-off level speed and the growth rate of vertical speed are reasonable of our country contestant Zhou Yang. Nicard take the sacrifice level speed as price at take-off, which enlarge human body center of gravity at vertical direction of speed; so his take-off direction was too upward and pole curved insufficiently. (2)The take-off time of six athletes is longer, which influence level speed gained from approach. Sutej and Valeriya's buffer time is longer than stretch time, which bring a great deal of loss of level speed. (3) The angle between pole and ground and the angle of center of gravity jumping up of six athletes at take-off moment are bigger than normal. Chloe uses free technique at take-off; Parnov erects hip obviously, and his the bend of left knee and left anklebone is better; so legs form support at take-off; Nikkanen is even at take-off, which bring a great deal of loss of level speed. (4) Valeriya's arm stretch is not enough at jumping up moment, and he is too nervous and his chest was contained deeply. At the crutch stage: (1) Nikkanen's bottom shaking arm bend excessively at hang, which influence whole firmness; so the crutch between top shaking arm and bottom shaking arm is not stable, which bring on long-pendulum early. (2) At long-pendulum, Sutej, Valeriya and Nikkanen adopt high hip pendulum technique. Thereinto, Valeriya and Nikkanen the time of short-pendulum is too long, and radius of short-pendulum cut slowly; which influence continuous body stretch.(3) Six athletes use longer time of crutch at the crutch stage than world elite athletes. (4) The level speed of center of gravity of the six athletes is much higher than vertical speed at pole vault and slowness at pole vault; so a majority of potential energy of elasticity released from pole vault was used for increasing level speed, vertical speed has no obvious increase, which influence elevation of center of gravityIn a word, the technique at the moment between take-off and crutch of world young women pole vaulters needs improvement and correction at a lot of details. This paper suggests women pole vaulters strengthen the power of arm and the muscle of waist and abdomen, enhance the take-off quality, reduce the loss of level speed and adjust performance rhythm at the whole crutch stage, in order to improving and perfecting the technique of pole vault.
