This paper uses literature and data methods, video observation and statistics methods, mathematical statistics methods, logical analysis methods and other methods, choosing four players in Wimbledon Tennis Open Game in 2008 and 2009 as the research object, to conduct a comprehensive analysis on the characteristics of technical and tactical application. The results show that:1. Pasture’s impacts on the technique of tennis players are:Faster ball speed and smaller rebound angle at serve and bottom line ball hitting requires athletes having better pre-sentence awareness and sensitivity of the response in serve and catching; top athletes can take full advantages of the characteristic of fast ball speed on the pasture to use the surfing tactics; mobile footwork and judgments requires players to better maintain body balance and good ability of pre-judgment.2. Distribution features of end frequency of each bat are:The first 4 bats are 64.9%; the first 6 bats are 83%. Compared with the findings of Hu Yabin, the end frequency of first 4 bats and first 6 bats increases 7.9% and 9.0% respectively. It showed that player’s serve ability and offensive ability are more easily played on the pasture game, and the serving side enjoys a great advantage.3. (1)From the point of view of regular technical statistics, Federer’s performance is most comprehensive, Nadal is most stable and Murray is relatively good, while Roddick’s performance is in general.(2) On the statistical distribution of gains and losses on serve, Nadal lost a minimum ratio of points on his own serve, accounting for only 24%, followed by Federer 25%, then Murray 26%, finally Roddick 27%. Four athletes’proportion of lost points in their own serve is increasing successively. It indicated that on the serve security, Nadal is the best, followed by Federer, Murray, and then Roddick. (3) From the statistical analysis on serve technique, Federer and Nadal’s performance is more comprehensive and stable; Roddick and Murray has a large difference on the first serve and second serve..(4) From statistical distribution of gains and losses on serve, Murray gains the highest percentage of points by 41%, followed by Nadal 40%, then Federer 37%, finally Roddick 32%. Four athletes’ proportion of gain points in their own serve is decreasing successively. It indicated that on the serve break, Murray is the best, followed by Nadal, Federer, and then Roddick.(5) On the technique of return of serve, Murray, whether in catching the first server or the second server, is significantly stronger than the other three players; Federer’s ability to catch the first server is more prominent, and his ability of catching the second serve is not distinct; Nadal’s relatively stable on catching the two, but the quality is not high; Roddick’s catching and serving capacity is the worst.(6) By comparing the short-board and multi-plate scoring rates on serve and return, these four outstanding athletes’scoring rates on serve and return is significant different. It indicated that tennis athletes show different competitive level on serve and return game.4. From the line-changing ability (straight line to oblique line, oblique line to straight line) at the multi-plate stalemate, Nadal’s success ratio is up to 68%, followed by Federer 60%, then Murray 59%, and finally Roddick 55%. It indicated that at the stability of multi-plate stalemate, Nadal is the best, followed by Murray, Federer, and then Roddick.5. Four athletes’ landing points at gain bat have no significant difference, backcourt is better than midcourt, midcourt is better than frontcourt. Seeing from the point statistics in frontcourt, midcourt and backcourt, Federer and Roddick have closer points, and Nadal and Murray also have closer points, indicating that Federer and Roddick’s number of surfing times is more than that of Nadal and Murray.
