The Application Study Of Data Mining Technology In Analysis Of Student Psychological Problems In Colleges And Universities

Student psychological condition in colleges and universities is important not only forthemselves, but also for the environmental construction of campus as well as the socialharmony and individual quality enhencement of the whole population. From this point of view,student psychological condition in colleges and universities has always been the focus ofsociety and colleges. Colleges and universities have always been working to improve themental health education for students. Nowadays, explorations in intervention model ofstudents’ psychological education in colleges and universities have become a hot study. Withthe rapid development of data mining technique and its successful application in variousindustries, its role in discovering laws and patterns hidden in data has been found unparalleled.After referring to much relevant information and documents and a thorough study of datamining technique, this thesis tries to apply this method into the college student’spsychological condition analysis.The thesis formulates the status quo of dada mining and college and university students’psychological condition, analyzs the feasibility of introducing data mining method intocollege students’ psychological study in depth, and introduces the contents about data miningsuch as conception, function, technology, method procedure. The thesis, in which the totalnumber of students of some institute in2012is taken as the study object, provides a thoroughanalysis of the decision tree technique in data mining, and then, by this technique, presents thewhole procedure of classified data mining of decision tree. This presentation includes:choosing mining object and making mining goal, preliminary processing of the original data,building decision tree model of the students in terms of psychological condition with decisiontree algorithm C4.5according to the feature of the data used, using the alternative error rateand PEP algorithm to prune the decision tree, and the last, the corresponding classificationrules generated after the tree pruning, which will serve as the reference in studentpsychological education and study among colleges. The author designs and implements a set of psychological problems of data mining system,enhance the data mining technology inanalysis of college students’ psychological problems in the application of the operability andpracticability by using SQL Server2008and ASP.NET technology. The result of the testshows that the application of data mining method opens a new way to the psychological studyfor colleges and universities as well as the building of the preventive model of college anduniversity students’ psychological education.
