In this paper, based on central institutions’compilation and publication of literature and classics in Ming and Qing Dynasties, I try to explore the evolution and development of compilation and publication of Central institutions’literature and classics in Ming and Qing Dynasties and study the literature and classics in different agencies. And then I tease out the characteristics of development of central institutions’compilation and publication of literature and classics in Ming and Qing Dynasties and find the reasons why central institutions’compilation and publication of literature and classics got so much significant development. The full text is divided into the following five sections:Part Ⅰ:Introduction. Discourse the evolution of central institutions’ compilation and publication of literature and classics.Part Ⅱ:focuses on central institutions’compilation and publication of literature and classics in the Ming Dynasty. The primary institution for compilation of literature and classics is Hanlinyuan in Ming Dynasty. Most of literatures and classics are from the Hanlinyuan. In addition, if facing an important literature editing tasks, the emperor would set up temporary compilation institutions. The significant publication agencies are Nanjing and Berjing of Imperial College as well as Neifu, inscribed in the book called "Janben"and "Jinchangben". In addition, according to their needs, central ministries also organize some small publication activities. After Yongle Dynasty, as eunuchs’power is enlarged, the center of the central printing activities gradually transfer to Neifu.Part III:focuses on central institutions’compilation and publication of literature and classics in Qing Dynasty. After Qing establish the new dynasty, the Hanlinyua is still treated as an important central compilation institution and started to place extra emphasis on important parts. In addition, the Qing develop the temporary editing institutions in Ming, gradually formed by a normally institution of compilation, consuetudinary institution of compilation, and special institution of compilation. These Compilation institutions launched a large-scale editing activities and translated and compiled a large amount of literature classics, which includes a variety of literal literature. Therefore, the central institution’s compliation career in Qing Dynasty obtained the unprecedented prosperity and the official editing career got a huge development compared with editing career in the Ming Dynasty.The central engraved activities completely moved to the Neifu, Wu Yingdian in Neifu almost deal with all engraved matters in the Qing Dynasty,. Dianben literatures is treated as the most important status.Part IV:the characteristics of evolution of central institutions’compilation and publication of literature and classics in Ming and Qing Dynasties. First, the feudal rulers’control of the compilation and publication is increasingly strengthened; second, the agencies of compilation and publication are gradually matured; third, the scale of central agency compilation and publication of literature and classics is enlarged; fourth, the quality of printed edition are improved; fifth, the number of minority languages in literature are increased; sixth, official Jiyi activities are prosper.Part V:analysis and summary he reason why the central institutions of Qing Dynasty literature classics compiled journal have great development.
