The Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulation technology not only can create an electromagneticenvironment needed by radar system simulation faithfully, but also can reduce costs, save time, keepsecret and so on. The main subjects of this thesis are the modeling and semi-physical simulation ofwideband radar clutter.Firstly, the clutter modeling and simulation methods based on statistical models were researched,this kind of methods use statistical models to illustrate the feature of ground clutter and sea clutter.This thesis analyzed two different kinds of clutter simulation methods based on statistical models.One of them is so called ZMNL algorithm, it can simulate many different kinds of related radar clutter,such as Rayleigh clutter, Weibull clutter and Log-normal clutter and so on. The other one is gettingtime-domain clutter signal by the inverse Fourier transform (IFFT) of vector spectrum converted frompower spectrum through phase randomizing. However, this one method always be used to simulateRayleigh clutter. This thesis used the second one to simulate the narrowband clutter at last.Secondly, the real background wideband clutter modeling methods were studied. This chapterdiscussed the build of real background, the analysis of background scattering characteristics, themodel of wideband clutter and so on. The narrowband, wideband clutter simulation methodsconcluding IFFT, windowing, overlapping and IQ modulation were researched then. After that, thisthesis showed the simulation results of2MHz bandwidth PD radar clutter,50MHz bandwidth pulsecompression radar clutter and500MHz bandwidth pulse compression radar clutter.Finally, the design and hardware realization of this wideband radar clutter simulation systemwere studied and the performance of it was tested. The test results show that this system is reallyreal-time and precise: data updating time is about several milliseconds, the spurious of IF cluttersignal is more lower than-50dBc (500MHz bandwidth clutter) and-60dBc (50MHz and2MHzbandwidth clutter).Especially, the output frequency of500MHz bandwidth clutter up to10~10.5GHz (Radio Frequency) in this system. |
