The Study Of The Theory Of The Music Class Dictionaries Editing Planning Behavior

Musical dictionary, as one tool, whose emergence and development, is associated with thenational comprehensive strength and the development of musical culture. Especially upon the rapiddevelopment of national economy, China’s status is rising gradually, so it is required for compiling amusic encyclopedia featuring Chinese music."Encyclopedic Dictionary of Music" as the firstcomprehensive music encyclopedia compiled by our Chinese, is extremely significant.The research object of this paper focused on "Encyclopedic Dictionary of music" edited by Mr.Miaotian Rui. We obtained the first-hand information about the compilation of "EncyclopedicDictionary of Music" through the interviews with Mr. Miaotian Rui; analyzed the characteristics ofcompilation of "Encyclopedic Dictionary of Music"; demonstrated the concept of the musicaldictionaries system on the basis of my own summary of the relevant theoretical knowledge; clarifiedthe characteristics of musical dictionaries from the early, mid, and late period of planning, as well asfrom the planning of audience, topics, image, soliciting, and marketing. The features are multi-faceddetermination of entries, focus on the nascent music lexical entries, high value, the pursuit ofinnovation on framework, entries and compilation. On the other hand, we attempted to provide somereference for theoretical study of music dictionary planning. Moreover, we integrated the theory oflexicography with musical compilation, summarized the compiling features of musical dictionaryplanning, and abstracted some systemic views of the basic theory.
