Dunhuang documents were found at dunhaung caves in1900, totaly about500,000pieces.The most of Dunhuang documents are record of Buddhism, they are90%of thetotal.in addition,religious records include Taoism records﹑Nestorianism records andmanichaeism records and so on.The rest of dunhuang documents have abundantcontents.They involve the aspect of ancient political, economic, military, social,geographical, ethnic, language, literature, art, music, dance, astronomy, calendar,mathematics, medicine, sports and so on.The research on the compilation work ofDunhuang documents has important academic value and social significance on Archivalcompilation, Dunhuang science, history, Religious Studies and excellent traditionalculture of the Chinese Nation.Dunhuang documents were lost abroad since they were found.no matter overseas ordomestic, the compilation work of Dunhuang documents are a lot.So they should bestudied deeply.
