In this paper, the multimedia player is based on the realization of multimedia playback systems and multimedia playback system consists of server-side and client-side component. The players are divided into local mode and network mode, local mode is play the files on the machine, the network model is the server on the network broadcast audio and video files for mobile terminals "can be watched without downloading", so for the smart phone, PDA and other small storage capacity of mobile devices to play media files.This paper outlines the Windows mobile and streaming media technology development status, analyzes the data network transport streaming media, audio and video codec principle, the main design of the network to accept data, audio and video decoding, audio and video playback control and the player interface, the completion of the acceptance of network media file, decoding, to reproduce the function, to achieve the play files play, pause, stop control.The key point of the player is using DirectShow multimedia framework, which is provided by a Microsoft COM component that provides a functional programming interface, and Windows Media Play in comparison, more dexterous, more expansive, can support more media files.
