| Along with the rapid development of semiconductor technology and wirelesscommunication technology, and the gradual industrial application of Wi-Fi and ZigBeetechnology, an increasing number of Wi-Fi, ZigBee device terminals will appear in theindustrial field, which will increase the possibility of the coexistence between Wi-Fi and ZigBeesystem. In order to better connect the Wi-Fi, ZigBee devices with the traditional Ethernet, awireless gateway is required for the data forwarding.This paper proposed a high-performance wireless gateway based on low-power AVRmicrocontroller, combined with Wi-Fi and ZigBee technology, as well as the features of lowcomplexity, low cost and low power consumption. The concrete hardware design scheme andrelated software are provided.Network module with wireless communication capability is the foundation of thedevelopment of wireless gateway. This paper first presented in detail the overall hardwaredesign and related software design of Wi-Fi and ZigBee wireless gateway combines designbased on MEGA128. Hereafter, the development methods of network module with wirelesscommunication capability are illustrated. Finally, the correctness of the proposed design anddevelopment of wireless gateway is verified. |
