Ooptimization Research Of Book Purchasing Management For NS College Library

In recent years, with the social economy booming, China’s higher education has beencontinuously flourishing. Library is the heart of the university, whose procurementmanagement directly affects the quality and the structure of its collection and then greatlyimpacts on the university’s teaching and scientific research, creating campus culture andconstructing a harmonious campus. Currently, inland universities generally adopt the patternof scheduled purchasing, especially for independent colleges which is newly-developingunder structural reform of higher education reform. Due to the deficiency of variouseducational equipment and resources and facing educational assessment, it incurs a seriesproblems in the procurement of books. Therefore, it’s extremely important to optimize theprocurement of books.In this paper, I took the library procurement in Guangdong University of ForeignStudies-South China Business College (abbreviated NS College) as an example. Firstly, Ianalyzed the current management situation at the aspects of its library purchasing goal,principle, management structure, business process and HR status quo. Secondly, I designedthe questionnaires according to the understanding of its books circulation status, analyzedstatistic, knew more about its emerging issues, putted the point that it’s necessarily andurgently to optimize its procurement management in books. Based on the above, I puttedforward the most influential factor to NS College’s library book acquisition-optimizing thenumber of copies and establishing the marginal circulation function and optimization modelof the number of copies, aiming at its books circulation effectiveness index. By contrastiveanalysis, I solved and implemented algorithm of the optimization model of the number ofpurchasing copies in NS College by the way of PSO and analyzed the result of theoptimization model of the number of copies in NS College by experiment. Eventually, thepaper pointed out that optimizing the procurement management can enormously improve itsbook circulation situation, enhance the efficiency in books circulation and strengthen itsservice level for the overall students and teachers so as to provide more considerable servicesfor teaching and scientific research in NS College.
