Sleep is closely related to people’s life and work, sleep quality survey and evaluationresearch is more and more attention. Sleep quality evaluation methods are qualitativeevaluation and in EEG, EMG, SO2and other physiological parameters as an index to evaluate.This paper studied sleep quality monitoring device based on wrist motion signal that assessingsleep-wake state, sleep time and sleep quality. The device use acceleration sensor to acquirewrist motion signals, and upload signals to the android mobile phone through bluetoothmodule, then develop software for signal processing in the mobile terminal.Different sleep phases are correspond to different amplitude frequency body dynamicsignals. Relative to other physiological parameters, body dynamic signal is more accessible,and monitoring process for patients with no interference. In this article, the collected bodyacceleration signals are processed through Webster linear formula which can calculatesleep-wake state of each minute, then total sleep time to evaluate sleep quality.This paper designs a wrist motion signal acquisition device based on three-axisaccelerometer ADXL345with low power consumption micro volume components. Thedevice is designed to be bracelet shape that convenient to wear. And it use the mcuSTC12LE5608AD to control the acceleration sensors collecting the wrist motion signal. Thecollected data are uploaded to android mobile phone through bluetooth4.0module andprocessed by algorithm. After preliminary test, the sleep quality monitoring device is provedto be normally running for25hours.This paper develops a sleep monitoring software which based on the android system. Itimplements the following functions: user login and registration, wrist motion data receivingand storage, sleep assessment algorithm implementation, evaluation results visualizationdisplay. Using the android interface development technology, SQLite database storagetechnology, bluetooth technology and drawing technology completed the softwareprogramming. The sleep monitoring software can assess the sleep-wake state during sleep andcalculate the total sleep time.
