With the continuous growth of the number of mobile users, the demand for mobile media services is gradually increasing. Thus, the media processing unit in mobile communication system should be able to process large numbers of media serving requests. In order to reduce the cost of media service, the media processing unit should be developed at a lower cost. This thesis aims to provide a low-cost and high-performance media data processing system, which will act as the audio processing module of MRFP. The system has the ability to provide media processing, such as playing audio, detecting phone numbers and recording audio.Firstly, this thesis designs the architecture of the media data processing system according to the demands mentioned above. Then this article designs some important modules for the system, like communication module, media processing module, media data transmission module, etc. Each module has a clear duty and functions independently. And the system will achieve the function goals under the situation that modules work in coordination with each other.Secondly, this article implements each module, and introduces the details of Erlang technology which is used by the system. Some important technologies of Erlang, such as general server behavior, supervisor behavior and general event behavior, have been applied for the system implementation. The reasonable design for the modules enables them to work correctly and efficiently.Finally, some tests are complete to ensure the media data processing system can work as expectation. The testing procedure includes function testing and performance testing. Function testing is used to test the media processing function of the system, while performance testing is aimed at verifying that this system can process media with high concurrency. At last, this article finishes a brief summarization and provides a prospect for the system.
