The File Transfer Design Of Instant Message System Based On WiMAX Network

As a wireless metropolitan area network technology based on IEEE802.16, WiMAX provides the broadband wireless access solutions of the "last mile" for business and home users. Because of inherent advantages and good prospects for the development, WiMAX has become a hotspot research in the field of domestic and international communication. Instant messaging is a business which can send and receive instant messages and other things between users. As the development of the internet, instant messaging will perform a wider use.Our project team has presented the implementation of frame in the instant messenger system based on WiMAX. This thesis aims to add the file transfer capabilities to the system. Finally, the design and implementation of an instant messenger system of WiMAX network which can transfer files is presented.First of all, after analyzing the WiMAX standard protocols and the WiMAX network specifications, the required QoS mechanism of file transfer and the whole process of WiMAX system are elaborated. Furthermore, the encapsulation format of data and signaling interaction for every step of process are designed. Secondly, according to the function requirements of file transfer, Qt is selected as application development framework. Then the WiMAX system simulation platform which can transfer files is completed based on the TCP protocol. Afterwards, on the basis of the WiMAX system platform, an instant messenger system which has file transfer function is designed and developed to verify the effectiveness of the system platform and enrich the function of the WiMAX instant messenger system. The system also has the function of resuming broken transfer. At last, the program demo is presented, which clearly shows the whole procedure in the file transfer and verifies the effectiveness of the WiMAX instant messaging system.
