With the number of hosts and network application has such a rapid growth, the lack of IPv4address and prolonged routing table have led to a serious developing predicament for network users. In order to solve the above problem, IETF has made next generation Internet protocol, IPv6. IPv6, compare with IPv4, has made considerable progress in routing, configuration, security and mobility management. Whereas it is these improvements lead to the IPv6and IPv4protocols incompatible. In the foreseeable future, transition from IPv4to IPv6will be a long way to go, developing better methods for IPv4and IPv6network transition and communication is a very critical issues.The current transition technologies are various, they can mainly be divided into three categories:dual stack type, translation types and tunnel type.6RD technology, which we discussed in the study belongs to the tunnel transition type. The reason we choose6RD technology is that6RD has many advantages such as simple configuration, transition of low cost, good compatibility and some other advantages. Linux system has an implementation of6RD technology since version2.6, and6RD technology can also run on most of network devices.Based on6RD technology, we design and implements a rapid IPv6network access system with user management and system load balancing. Paper’s main work is as follows:(1) Analysis RFC documents relevant to6RD technology, investigation and analysis how Linux system implement6RD technology.(2) Design and implement6RD technology for Windows XP platform, using Windows NDIS5.0framework.(3) Based on the above two works, design and implement the function of user management and system load balancing. These two functions make the original6RD technology more useful to the practical deployment environment.(4) Design and deploy the test environment and complete the system function test.There is no implementation of6RD technology on Windows system, and the original6RD technology doesn’t have user management function and system load balancing function. This paper solves these problems by desingn and implementation this IPv6network access system, it has great significance for speeding up IPv6transition.
