The FPGA system can full use the needs of high speed parallel signal processing with its hardware features, and SOPC technology can make the design flexible, software and hardware in-system programmable and updatable.This article designs a sound source localization system based on FPGA. The system uses development board of the Cycloneâ…¢ family EP3C25Q240C8chips as the hardware platform, cooperate with the external microphone array circuitry for the real-time the source of the signal collecting. When there is source in the environment, then this system will prompt with LED and display the coordinates of the source location on the LCD.The system is design approach use combination with hardware and software, in achieve process use Matlab, Multisim, ModelSim software for simulation to validate the coincidence act of the circuit and imagine. Hardware uses Quartus â…¡ and DSP Builder software to design and implement all the modules, including FIR filter module, endpoint detection module, TDOA module. Using the SOPC Builder in Quartus â…¡ to construct the SOPC_System module for the platform of analysis operation behind. Software uses achieve geometrical positioning algorithm and LCD display by C language in the Nios â…¡ IDE environment.Test showed that the function of hardware is effectively, feasible, software and hardware work together to achieve source signal collection, processing and dispiay function on FPGA. The system as embedded systems is easy to program, debug and easy to use. This system has a very high cost-effective, can saving software and hardware resources, has good application prospects. |
