| Life cycle assessment (LCA), which is an environmental management idea and tool put forwarded by the ISO14000environmental management standard, has a great significance for improving the standard of environment management and achieving the sustainable development ultimately. Due to the amount of data, which is needed in the process of life cycle assessment, is large, the related LCA software arises at the historic moment. Based on the idea of the design of several excellent foreign LCA software and a series of LCA standards, this paper, adopting the idea of object-oriented and making use of the techniques of Java, Web and SQL Server, puts forward the overall targets of the design and basic principles for the LCA system from the perspective of the design and development of the Web application and expounds the overall structure of the design of the LCA system.On the basis of the two LCA methods:the process-based method and the method based on the input-output method, this system fulfills the structural design and the procedural compilation for the LCA system based on the processes and the inputs-outputs, which mainly includes the LCA modules based on the processes (P-LCA), the economic inputs-outputs (EIO-LCA) and the module of the impact assessment, etc. This paper systematically elaborates the design of the three functional modules, the database tables and the user interface, among which the LCA module based on the processes takes the processes of the LCA for the engine as an example to design the database and realize the program, and the LCA module based on the inputs-outputs mainly combines with the theory of inputs and outputs, collects the local data, completes the design of the database and implements the program.With the substantial data sources, reasonable design of the structure of the database, good expandability, this system can better realize the automation of information management. Besides, the system of data management is in the form of web pages, which makes it has a high degree of visualization, operated conveniently and understood easily. Finally, this paper illustrates the function of the system through the case’s analysis, and the results show that the system can provide technical supports for the LCA evaluation of a product. |
