with the rapid development of network and multimedia technology, digital video (such as online video, IPTV, video telephony, video surveillance, etc.) are increasingly affecting people’s lives.It has become an important channel for people to receive information. This requires that the encoded video stream has a higher compression ratio, what’s more, the encoded stream is more able to adapt to the diversity of heterogeneous networks and the different terminal devices. It not only can adjust to heterogeneous networks and transmission characteristics changing with a certain transmission bandwidth, but also can adapt to the different terminal devices. To solve the above problems, according to the advanced technology, I am committed to find a solution to make full use of the bandwidth of heterogeneous network and adapting to multi-terminal devices, based on the H.264scalable coding techniques and Stream Control Transmission Protocol.One of the major work is researching the technology of encoding and decoding video in Layered. On the other hand, I study the mechanism of the multi-channel multiplexing in-depth. The thesis has three difficulties as the following:First, identify the layer number of the sub-layer of each image frame from the video stream, and drawn to the appropriate sub-layer data stream for transmission respectively; Second, with the Stream Control Transmission Protocol SCTP supported, how do the sub-layer data carry out the proper reorganization in different terminal after multi-path Multiplexing; Third, it does not support video data transmission in NS2, how to the video can be transmitted in the way of multiple concurrent in NS2simulation. To solve the above problems. I study the video codec standards, principles and current codec technologies, including MPEG, H.264/svc etc., I focused on researching the technology of intercepting scalable video stream.Then I proposed and verified the method that the basic layer bit stream and the enhancement layer bit stream can be extracted and recombinant according to the layer number, and analysis the possibilities and advantages of layered video codec.I also study to the protocol that support the multiple concurrent transmission in-depth, then I explored the way of reorganization of the multiple video streams at the terminal. Based on the Extracting and recombinant algorithm of the H.264scalable video coding, a algorithm of data recombinant and presenting in order is proposed based on SCTP-CMT techniques.adding Agent to implement the multi-channel multiplexing video. Designing simulation scenarios, The parameters of delay, throughput, PSNR can be evaluated the effects of multi-path transmission of video. The simulation results show that a layered video multiplex in multi-path, and at the receiving terminal may be submitted to the top user after the reorganization. It can ensure high QoS. the feasibility and advantages of the method is verified.Finally, a summary of the subject has been present, the describes of the deficiencies of the my solution and the further research work have been proposed.then I summarize the main work and research during graduate about the project.
