With the rapid and stable development of the Internet technology in21st Century, various kinds of collaborative office automation systems have been widely used. On the one hand, with the increasing enrollment of colleges and the growing number of teaching staff, the traditional paper-based office mode can no longer meet the demand for office working and the development of colloegs; on the other hand, to realize the integration of resources, save the expense and reduce the number of personnel, is the main problem which colleges have been faced withh nowadays. Collegs now are trying hard to realize internal information exchange, personal management, document management, personnel management and conference management so as to achieve their strategic goals. Through the investigation and the analysis of collaborative office procedure, combined with the current Internet technology, the knowlegde learned from the software engineering plays an important role in the resaerch of the college collaborative office automation system.Zhuhai College is a strategic window set up in Zhuhai by Jilin University. It possesses nine teaching, scientific research and management institutions. The paperless office mode has been playing a vital role in promoting the coolege development. Based on its operation needs, the feasibility analysis, operation model, visualization, zero programming help to achieve the design and implementation of the system. At the same time, OA system platform provides a short development cycle, low cost and a certain flexibility which helps to achieve a multi-user system as well as the multi-access management. It also helps to realize a series of functions such as online office, resource sharing, vehicle using applications, work plans, and network communication so as to meet the needs of different users in college.According to the analysis above, based on the Web platform, combined with the B/S framework, the system is designed to provide nine modules including personal office, document management, resource management, information management, personnel management, conference management, experience exchange, network drives and user setting to boot, which make the system possesses higher research and practical value. During the system designing process, by combining the ASP with SQL SERVER, using the UML system package diagram,, sequence diagram, procedure chart and part of the source code, the design and implementation of the system has been comprehensively realized. As a result, it meets the need of the network office in Zhuhai College fundamntally. In the process of the system research, the present author participates in the project development, focusing on the analysis of the feasibility of the system, the operation requirement, functional need and non-functional need in deep. In the meantime, the present author alsp participates in the logical design of the system and part of the interface and the core code programming. The design and implementation of the collaborative office automation system not only solve the needs of the office working in Zhuhai College of Jilin University, but also provied reference value for other collegs.
