| With the constant development of market economy in China,the demand for new technologies is increasing gradually.Ultra high pressure(UHP) water cutting is a new technology that developed rapidly in recent decades and will be further developed in fiature.As UHP water cutting has many advantages and potentials,it will become a widespread cutting technology.Therefore,to improve performance and quality of UHP water cutting systems is a common research topic of water cutter experts.Firstly,this paper introduces the development history and current research status of UHP water cutting technology,then discusses the advantages of virtual instrumentation and proposes UHP water cutting test system based on virtual instrumentation.Comparing with traditional test system,the hardware performance and expansibility of virtual instrument system improves significantly.In order to meet with the test requirements,this paper uses NI DAQCard-6024E(for PCMCIA),SCXI signal conditioning modules,different sensors and Dell laptop to construct the hardware structure of the system.The main program of test software is modeled and analyzed in Petri net then implemented in LabVIEW 8.5,including the functional modules of parameters setting,data acquisition and storage,data analysis and data management which realize pressure,temperature,vibration tests of UHP system. Based on the theories of fast Fourier transform and wavelet transform,booster pump motor parameters are tested in the paper.Finally,test data online transmission is implemented by LabVIEW network communication technology.This research project is one of the major scientific and technological achievements programs of Jiangsu province and it is a cooperative research project of Jiangsu University and Nanjing Dardi International Corporation.The paper chooses Dardi UHP systems as research objects,laboratory test results indicate that UHP test system based on virtual instrumentation achieves all the expected functions and can improve testing accuracy and efficiency,reduce the difficulty of faults diagnosis and prevention of UHP systems,it has a good meaning of improving performance and quality,ensuring product safety,reducing the production and maintenance costs and extending product life of UHP systems. |
