Sound source localization based on microphone array technology is a research hotspot in array signal processing techniques. It has been widely used in military and civilian fields. Due to the presence of ambient noise and reverberation in the complex environment, especially in indoor environments (such as a small venue, classrooms, offices), the main difficulty is to achieve precise localization of sound source in practice. In addition, there are other issues in the sound source localization, such as large amount of computation and high cost of the system. To solve these problems, this article is committed to the research and work to achieve the sound source localization system based on microphone array in indoor environments. The work of the article includes:1. By introducing and analyzing the current three kinds of sound source localization techniques, time delay estimation algorithm based on sound source localization algorithm is highly practical and real-time;2. This article analyses the spatial model of microphone array (near-field and far-field model model) and signal reception model of microphone array (ideal model and the actual model), and gives the expression and model simulation room impulse response according the IMAGE model;3. On the basis of time delay estimation analysis, this article introduces several traditional time delay estimation algorithms (Generalized Cross Correlation and Adaptive Minimum Mean Square). In order to improve the accuracy of time delay estimation, we propose a GCC-MLPT phase compensation fractional time delay estimation approach and analysis the performance of several delay estimation algorithms;4. This article focuses on the maximum likelihood estimation and least squares estimation algorithm;5. We designs a sound source localization system based on cross microphone array. This article describes the overall sound source localization system structure and tests the entire positioning system.
