Digital Planting System is an important direction in agricultural field. Its aim is to reduce the costs, improve crop yields and change the traditional agriculture in the lack of scientific management mode, In traditional agriculture, management of crops mostly by personal subjective experience, which is so lack of clear standards that often produces low utilization of land resources issues. In recent years, computer technology developed rapidly, intelligence agricultural system compared to traditional agriculture has incomparable advantages, and therefore, it will greatly promote the development of agriculture.The paper designs and implements the Intellectual Agriculture System, which can collected information from soil by the sensors. The system uses local area networks ZigBee collect the agricultural signal, then through GPRS technology to transmit information to the server. In server, there are a variety of plants database based on information received soil, which can choose the most suitable crop species through intelligent recommendation algorithms. The user can timely and accurately understand the plant growth environment and remote control them.Firstly, the essay summarizes the current problems of agricultural development and the IOT application prospect, using ZigBee technology to build the collection network. In addition, the system implements intelligent algorithm based on the Weighted Mahalanobis Distance algorithm, describes its principles detailed, included its advantage than others. Moreover, it finished the functional design and structural design. Digital Planting System uses B/S structure, exploited by JavaWeb technology and Myeclipse development environment for users running the algorithm. The users can check the results about the farm environmental information timely through the network. It also can work well on the farm environment, so will have broad prospects.
