With the improvement of people’s living standards, an increasing number of individuals are concerned about their own health and are active in physical exercise, electric treadmill has the advantages of small volume, saving space, easy to operate, has become one of the most popular fitness equipment.However, for the traditional electric treadmill,the runners forced to adjust their speed to adapt the preset fixed speed of the treadmill, and this situation seriously affect the initiative and the relaxed feeling of the runners,and also limits the application of electric treadmill.Therefore,a kind of real-time control treadmill which can judging acceleration intention has become particularly important, at the same time,adaptive speed treadmill in daily exercise and medical rehabilitation field has broad prospects.This topic based on the perspective of computer vision, analysis the human body movement characteristic (video image of walking and running), proposed the scheme of real-time speed control,finally realizes the adaptive speed control of treadmill,This thesis is divided into three parts:(1)Extraction of moving image. Using camera to capture the moving image sequence of the experimenter, then based on backdrop model obtain good image information of moving targets.(2)Analysis of motion characteristics. Process the acquired motion pictures through anatomy knowledge,get the joint features of the moving target,then figure out relative displacement parameter,provide the basis for the speed control of the treadmill.(3)The speed control of the treadmill.Based on the conclusions of two previous parts,Establish the mathematical model between the parameters and the speed of the treadmill motor, and achieve the purpose of speed control.
