Sawtooth LFMCW radar is constantly radiating continuous external electromagnetic signals to get the system moving target speed and distance information, with the absence of distance blind, easy to obtain very high resolution of distance, low power, and strong anti-interception capability characteristics, advantages over other forms of modulated continuous wave. Whether it is in the military field, precision homing missiles and radar fuze settings; or in the civil context, ground penetrating radar; linear frequency modulated continuous wave radar has a wide range of applications.This paper studies the sawtooth continuous wave radar works, and each of the sawtooth LFMCW radar echo signals received single-cycle and multi-cycle echo signal is analyzed in detail, and quantitative analysis of the distance- coupling issues affect the outcome of the final processing of the resulting system, but also on the structure of the radar signal processing system were analyzed. On this basis, the design of FPGA + DSP processing architecture to coordinate radar signal processing systems, including data acquisition module, data processing module, data transmission module, three modules. Hardware design including AD data acquisition and control circuit, the circuit design of signal conditioning circuits, FPGA and DSP configuration memory circuit, Ethernet communication circuit, serial communication module, the system power supply circuit and system clock circuit. Software design, including digital down conversion module, finite impulse response filter module, FFT module, radar signal processing module, module design, and includes Ethernet communication module, serial interface, FPGA and DSP modules, including data link port communication module design.The actual processing of the test results by the board of hardware, data acquisition module and Ethernet communication module for analysis, the indicators are very good project is expected to meet the requirements, it can be applied to shipboard radar signal processing system.
