| The concept which originated in the West--"Museum" and "Community", has already disseminated around the globe, with globalization. As cultural institutions, museums own extraordinary social resources and the same time be responsible "for the community and social development". On the one hand, museums are required by the society, on the other hand, museums need to reach out and develop. With the trend of the times, it is duty-bounded that museums serving the community and participating in community buildingBased on the literature review, this Study focus on "museum serve to the community". Mainly to discuss museums and social development and, the relations between museums and the public. How museums act in communities? What kind of role did museums play? Museum and community cultural identity and, how museums support and assist community development? How to contact to the audiences, the public and beneficiary groups? Museums must promote more people participate in museum works so that achieve the real social benefits.From the introduction to the conclusion there are five chapters in the thesis. It were conducted by collecting cases of museum work of community service from North America, Europe, Japan and so on that coordinated domestic status quo research. The first part of the study was to understand the situation of Chinese museums and their communities, the imperfection has resulted several shortages. Then analyzed the reasons for the shortages. The third part proposed corresponding solutions, discussed in three aspect:the social development level and cultural context, the quality of the museum staff and, museum management. Finally, summarized the solutions and formed the ideal empirical model of museum community service in conclusion. Reference to the lessons learned from the framework, the most important is to find a suitable way for the Chinese, in order to point out the future direction of the museum. |
