| Most current security video management systems are based on the traditional architectures:operating system’s file system or special multimedia database. These approaches are used as the basis of the data storage system. However, saving video data in these methods is very inefficient with difficulty of massive data management. In order to improve the efficiency and the security of the security video management system, GCI group decided to abandon the usage of traditional security video management framework. A new set of security video data management system is developed which is based on Hadoop cloud computing technology. Solving the problem of security video management in Hadoop cloud computing technology with a safe and efficient approach is badly needed.The CGI security video management system is the background of the discussion. At the beginning, other video management systems’ current status and technology including advantages and disadvantages are analyzed. The essentiality of building up the new video management system has been evaluated. In the meanwhile, the core processes including the video data storage process, index created process and searching process are designed for meeting the need. On the base of the technology discussed above, the main function of security video storage and retrieving in the CGI security video management system are discussed with the technical details. System structure and security videos’ storage, processing and retrieving are raised. What’s more, the core subsystem’s detail designs focusing on the procedure of storage and creating indexes with the Hadoop framework are proposed. At last, the important role in public safety of the security video management system is discussed in the conclusion. |
