The study object of this article is the electromagnetic spectrum. Electromagnetic spectrum is a kind of media which we can not feel or touch. As a resource, the electromagnetic spectrum is non-renewable and limited. So how to use the electromagnetic spectrum reasonable and reduce illegal use of electromagnetic spectrum are becoming more urgent. Only through the reasonably and adequately monitoring electromagnetic spectrum, access to the information you need to know,the staff will have scientific basis to make decisions for the using of electromagnetic spectrum.Research foundation of this article is "Electromagnetic spectrum monitoring sensor network key technology research" the national science and technology major projects. We research the spectrum situation analysis block based on this project. Spectrum situation analysis is a way to visualization display the electromagnetic environment of the monitoring area. By the spectral situation analyze results,monitors will have an intuitive understanding of the electromagnetic spectrum situation within the region. In addition, the paper also study the spectrum monitoring system based on Qualcomm AR9344.This project is a project of school-enterprise cooperation.By exerting the laboratory’s advantage on spectrum field, combining the advantages of the companies’ hardware development,develop the spectrum monitoring system based on Qualcomm AR9344 together. The system can monitor the spectrum in the 2.4GHz band, and present the monitor results to the user. The monitoring range is same with WIFI, so the system is named WIFI spectrum monitoring system.This article first introduce the structures of the two system. Mainly describes the physical structure of the system and the architecture of the control software, and briefly introduce the main functions of the two systems. The followings are the main content of this article.The first part: Design and Implementation of Spectrum Situation Analysis Module. When introducing this module, first, the functional requirements of the module, then describes the principle of spectral situation analysis, including data processing algorithms, and color mapping method, the following is the design and implementation of the module. In the design section describes the process design and the data interact format between the software and the node. Finally, the implementation of the system is described The second part: Design and Implementation of WIFI channel Spectrum Monitoring System.When introducing this module,first, the functional requirements of the system,then describes the principles of data acquisition,and the work mode of the data acquisition node,the following is the introduction of the definition of data,finally, the design and implementation of the system. The third part::System Test Section. This part describes how to test the two systems and obtaine the test results. For the two systems,we first,describe the test environment. When testing the spectrum situation analysis module,the module’s functions were tested,and simulation the common problems occurring in the system, judging whether the error handling is correct. When testing the WIFI channel spectrum monitoring system, First, the function of the system was tested,then we compare this system with BSP2500 spectrum monitoring system. After testing, we can conclude that both systems can accurately complete monitoring tasks.The research results obtained in this article are the spectral situation analysis module based on the sensor networks spectrum monitoring system. And WIFI channel spectrum monitoring system. Due to hardware limitations, the monitor range is different, Both systems can be used for spectrum monitoring in different bands and complete the mission requirements.
