For the weapons and equipment, especially some light weapons, they are used in high frequency, and not easy to be counted and managed, the most easily occurs loss,theft and other events. So, it is imperative to them for more accurate, efficient management.Because of the above factors considered, the establishment of a set of digital firearms management system, to realize automatic identification, automatic record in the gun release process, which can be traced back the use of guns records, convenient queried related record information and other functions. The final all will be together, forming a centralized electronic management platform.This system is based on the problem of public security departments in firearms’ management, design of gun cabinet hardware keeping firearms, and to develop the PC module matching with the information management system of the upper smart gun cabinet, forms a complete information management system to achieve efficient and specification of firearms’ management. Because the fingerprint is not easy to be lost or forgotten, is not easy to be stolen or forged, and carried etc.. This system based on fingerprint identification as a means of identity authentication, adding double authentication of the video image, the fingerprint, the video information and guns receiving, issuing, storage process are combined, making guns lost, chaotic management, fault with misplaced, record deletion events will not happen. The later fully integrated with intelligent information management system can realize the firearms and ammunition online information management automation, can realize the remote application and approval, record inquiry, online monitoring and other functions.This development is a smart gun cabinet information acquisition system of fingerprint identification and video image authentication, it is a system of access to equipment managing personnel information, the main function is to collect the fingerprint information and video image from personnel, for verification of their identity, to record process for the latter’s inspection. This system uses FM-70 optical fingerprint sensor and OV7670 image sensor tocollect information, and transmission of collected data to the STM32 chip, after its corresponding treatment, it will be uploaded to the PC machine, so as to realize all information collection. Then, the fingerprint information is matched with the database information, display basic information of the corresponding officers on the host computer, and the video information display directly on PC, for the operator to verify the identity, and written record.This design of smart gun cabinet information acquisition system includes two parts of hardware and software, the hardware consist of the fingerprint collection module, video capture module, data transmission module, the main control chip module and a display module; the software includes device management, user management, records management and video management. Finally, to complete the design and debugging of each module and the implementation of the system, improve the overall functional design.
