Abstract/Summary:
This paper is based on a cooperation project from a research institute, which aimed to research a high speed communication system in fast varying doubly selective channel. The project is implemented on the platform of FPGA and DSP. This paper mainly discusses how to implement the project with FPGA and the transmission protocol of FPGA and DSP. In detail, it includes the following aspects:(1) Transmitter will be designed according to matlab simulation program. Architecture will be divided to several modules to achieve the various functions of matlab simulation. Then implementation diagram, information of interfaces, processing flow and simulation timing diagram of signal source processing, data processing, signaling processing, PAPR suppression, framing modules in transmitter will be introduced. Designing IF transmitter module, it converts baseband digital signal to analog signal and modulate it to the specified IF frequency.(2) Through designing solution of sampling, DDS, LPF and down sampling module, baseband data can be recovered. Then implementation diagram, information of interfaces and processing flow of DDS, LPF, down sampling, AGC, frame synchronization in receiver will be introduced.(3) Interface definition and data transmission process between FPGA and DSP will be introduced. Data exchanging protocol between FPGA and DSP will be designed and analyzed.(4) Expected targets will be given and test plan will be introduced. Through testing the required targets, analyzing test outcomes, comparing test outcomes and simulation performance, a final conclusion will be given.
