With the rapid development of modern photoelectric device, the optical-electric scanner has high requirements of scanning speed, format and price. Traditional scanners no longer meet the needs of the high speed development of the modern digital industry. However the CIS(contact image sensor) has the advantages of high precision, low price, small size. The large format scanner using multiple CIS composition has solved the problem. Therefore, it is of great significance to develop the CIS scanner system which has independent intellectual property rights.In this thesis, from the point of view of software design, an analysis and research focus on the overall architecture design and realization of each module of the software system of the CIS large format scanners. And the parallel acquisition scheme of massive data, high precision splicing algorithm of the image and the color correction scheme which is based on the HSI(Hue Saturation Intensity) model have been designed. At last, a detailed discussion about the key technology and the performance optimization of the system software design has been put forward. The main contents are as follows:1. The basic function of the system requirements has been analyzed to build an overall architecture scheme of system including the design of hardware and software. The software system has been designed by the thought of objected-oriented and the design patterns of software, then, the software system has been divided into several modules to realize gradually.2. The digital image and the bitmap file have been researched. The fast display of large image has been designed by mapping algorithm of massive data. The rapidly processing of image has been achieved by the way of multi threads and blocking the region.3. The way of acquiring data has been realized by multi cores processor working mode and multi threads which has improved the collection efficiency. The image splicing of multi CIS has been designed by manual and automatic algorithm, compared with manual splicing, this method has significantly improved the splicing precision; Then the color correction method has been realized by HSI color model, the method makes the image better. And this resolution based HSI color model is simpler, more efficient than the RGB color model.4. Taking the software acceleration, the save and compression of huge amounts of data, and the management of system memory into consideration, the key technology of software design has been researched. After optimizing the application performance of the software system, the software efficiency has been significantly improved, and the maintenance cost has been decreased.5. At last, the user interface of the system software has been introduced. And then several main function modules of the system including USB communication, scanning speed and splicing algorithm and color aberration correction modules have been tested. At last, for the test results the effect of this system has been analyzed and summarized.The resolution of the image splicing of multi CIS based on manual and automatic algorithm has been put forward, as far as I know, this is the first report in China. According to my reading and research, the color correction method based on HIS model has not been applied in large format scanner in China.
